drum

Drumming Qatar hosts monthly family-friendly drumming circles on the beach. They supply the drums, instruction, barbecue fire and cold drinking water. All you need to bring is yourself, something to sit on and food—plus swimsuits and towels if you feel like a swim. A spot in the circle costs QR 100 for adults and QR 50 for children.

splash

With lots of singing, splashing and smiling, Evolution Sports’ Little Splashers programme is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the water while strengthening the bond between child and parent. Classes are for children from nine months to three years old and their parents, and are held weekend mornings (perfect for working parents) in Doha College, Al Waab and West Bay.

read

Grab a book and read to your toddler as part of the Doha Mums Children’s Library “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” programme. These books can be read by you, another family member, a nursery teacher or even at a library storytime. Participating children will be able to follow their progress on a sticker chart at home and on a milestone marker in the library. The child will also receive a large sticker after each 100 books read and a certificate and a prize at the end of the programme.
