QATAR UNIVERSITY (QU) has set up a joint committee with the College of Arts and Sciences to collect the narratives on the daily lives of Qataris during the 1950s and 1960s. This QU-led initiative aims to fill the gap left by the lack of written records about this era. Maryam Al Thani, Section Head of Reference and Information Services at Qatar University Library, said that Qataris and others who lived in the country during those years can email their stories to library.events@qu.edu and can do so anonymously if they wish. qu.edu.qa
