THE MUSEUM OF ISLAMIC ART (MIA) will introduce a new family trail when it reopens this October. The museum’s director, Dr Julia Gonella, said that the move represents a vital part of the museum’s message, which aims to create a space for families to sit, discuss, and interact with exhibits. She also named the Astrolabe and South Asia galleries as ones that will have new, kid-friendly interactive features and announced the opening of a new South East Asia room.

QATAR BIOBANK is urging Qataris and expats who have lived in Qatar for at least 15 years to participate in its research. The Qatar Foundation member aims to gather biological samples from locals and long-term residents for medical research to help personalise healthcare in Qatar and improve outcomes.
