Book Bites: Smile

Raina Telgemeier has a tough life, a tough family, a tough school, even tough friends. All she wants is a set of perfect teeth. Based on the book it all started when she knocks out her two front teeth while she was racing with her friends. Speaking of friends, in high school it turns out that Raina’s old friends aren’t so friendly after all. The story can be happy sometimes, but it can also be emotional and scary sometimes too. I would give this true, amazing story a five-star review because Smile will make you smile. It can also make you feel like you are a part of the story too. This award-winning book deserves its place as first, so I encourage all of you kids (and adults) to read Smile if you haven’t.
