Danny the Champion of the World is a great action story with happy and sad chapters. In the story, Danny is the hero. Danny’s dad poaches pheasants from a wealthy man’s forest because the wealthy man is very rude to them. Danny and his dad live in and old caravan that has been passed down in their family for many years. They work at a filling station in the middle of nowhere but when Danny was old enough to poach he came up with an amazing method that made it so that they could catch more pheasants.

I like this story because Danny does not give up. He is brave and adventurous and is very curious about many things.

I give this book 4.5 stars out of 5.
