On Friday, 10 March from 8am to 5pm, head to the Grand Hyatt Doha to cheer on your favourite team at the 2017 Qatar Dragon Boat Festival. Featuring ornately decorated, long paddle boats, dragon boat racing is believed to have originated more than 2000 years ago to celebrate the start of rice planting season.
Highlights of last year’s Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) included “Dinner in the Sky”, a floating table above MIA park where attendees could dine with the ultimate panoramic view; food trucks; a cooking theatre; family and cultural entertainment and more. This year’s QIFF will be held from 29 March to 8 April.
