climb

There’s a new sport picking up interest in Qatar. At the newly opened Esqalar Sports, you can test your limits on their outdoor climbing wall. Day passes are available for new climbers, while seasoned climbers may be interested in the monthly and yearly memberships. There are special prices and timings for kids younger than 15. So steel yourself for new heights and head over to Aspire Zone to see how high you can go.

explore

Why is the sky blue? How do magnets work? What is a cyclone? Your curious kids will get answers to these questions and more during Maktaba’s Science Sunday programme. Every Sunday at 3:30pm, kids ages five and older are invited to sit in on a story followed by a science-related activity that will encourage them to be curious and creative. The activity is free for members and costs QR 60 for non-members.

Choose from three elaborate, gravity-defying cake projects—Johnny Stork, Fireman Ben or Charly’s Circus—to recreate with the help of this award-winning mentor. Classes will be held at Ezdan Hotel, West Bay from 27 to 29 September. Fees include a signed certificate, buffet lunch, tea break, baking materials and, of course, your finished project.
